Before you build or switch
What station owners want to know first.
Do I need to change my streaming provider?
No. ModaStream connects to the public stream you already use. Icecast, SHOUTcast, direct MP3/AAC and HLS are supported; Radio.co and similar providers work with a public direct-listen URL.
Does ModaStream host my radio stream?
No. Your broadcast and stream stay with your current provider. ModaStream hosts the listener-facing website, media and station content around it.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. You can preview on ModaStream first, then connect a verified custom domain when you are ready to launch.
Can I import existing shows or podcasts?
You can add existing shows and import podcast feeds for listen-again content. Claude or another approved MCP client can also help prepare show, host, event and episode drafts.
Can an AI assistant change my site without permission?
No. You choose whether a connected client can view, draft or publish. Verified stream changes have another separate permission, always probe for real audio and require explicit confirmation. Domains and account access remain unavailable through MCP.
Can I see what my station website could look like?
Yes. The three fictional design previews above demonstrate different visual directions for hobby, community and small-network stations without using a real customer station as the example.
